Neil Young covers Blowin’ In The Wind

The Examiner: Neil Young’s summer European summer tour with Crazy Horse began earlier tonight at theWaldbühne in Berlin, Germany. Although there is always the chance for a slight variation on any given night, the set list in Berlin did not change much since the previous tour. The main differences were “Psychedelic Pill” in the “Born In Ontario” spot, “Like A Hurricane” as the encore, and a cover of “Blowin’ In The Wind” apparently replacing “Twisted Road,” Young’s ode to the first time he heard Bob Dylan’s “Like A Rolling Stone.”

While a Gulf War-era, Jimi Hendrix-inspired version of “Blowin’ In The Wind” was a regular feature of the 1991 “Weld” tour, Young had not previously covered the song sincethe post-9/11 Bridge School Benefits.
