  1. Great job providing well-rounded assessment of the new Dylan book reviews. Although it appears Heylin is a “Dylanologist,” he is too “heavy” when describing the meaning behind Dylan’s tunes. Many of them tear him apart as he does not know how to end them & frequently revisits those tunes live. So many of his songs were handwritten notes & as great Dylan author Bob Spitz has written, he frequently whipped out tunes in the studio based on love affairs & signs of the times.
